Best Network Setup for 2gbps Fiber?

Just a quick question. Recently upgraded to fiber. 2 gig up and down. When I bought my router a couple months back, I had a 1 gig down plan. My problem I'm running into is my router only has one LAN port that's 2.5 gigs, and that's what the modem is currently running to. Wifi speeds are amazing, especially if I'm in the same room (damn near the 2 gig believe it or not) but since the other 4 ports are only 1 gig, I'm only getting 1 gig wired to my computer.

After that long winded explanation, I'm wondering if there would be an easier (and cheaper) way of getting my full 2 gigs while wired without buying a whole new router. Can I put a switch between the router and modem? Is that a stupid ass question? lmao. Really any advice is good, and I appreciate any input.
