Day 0 Building in Public

Building ColdGen, because writing DMs and staring at a blank box isn't for me.

Before Saas, my wife and I were grinding ecom brands, literally trying to think of something to say in the DMs for 30 min at a time. Rewriting and second guessing our DM before sending it. If we used chat it was too robotic, if we didn't we couldn't figure out what to say.

ColdGen is the tool I wish existed. Short, human, confident messages in 15 seconds.

Current status:

• Day 0 building in public/Day one hundred something building
• -1 sign up/5 Users
• -Product live
• -Starting organic marketing

Goal 100 paid users

What I did:

• Shared my journey on Reddit
• Filmed first demo and pinned to twitter
• wrote pinned tweet
• Filmed first insta/tiktok video

Product log:

• Improved Sequence follow-up, response, and generation prompts
• Added visual user feedback to buttons in the conversation, conversation assistant, and sequence pages.
• Updated Next.js version
• Pushed support agent v1 to prod
• Tried to replace "tweet" and "Twitter" in the format and channel options to "X" but caused issues and reverted
• updated OG image for social media sharing
• pushed a splash screen to prod but not turning it on till I trust it.
