A small souvenir
I'm a closeted trans girl, but thinking back, I remember about two years ago, long hair was in fashion, so I grew it out, Under the pretext that it was for fashion, but really it was because of how feminine it made me feel.
One day, walking home from school, I was between 16 and 17 years old, a man on the street I was walking down catcalled me.
It wasn't obviously pleasant in the way he did it; what I remember isn't so much the compliment itself, but the fact that a stranger clearly saw me, And he saw me as a girl. That day at home I was so happy. I suppose it was because I have more feminine features and letting my hair grow complements them.
By the way, when I walked past him and he said that to me, I said "I'm a boy" and kept walking. All I could hear was his classmates laughing their heads off at him.
Why did I say that? taking into account that i don't feel like "him" and I long to be "her," remember, I'm closeted. But I wanted to tell this little story that fills me with happiness every time I remember it. It was the first and only time in real life that I was seen...💜
