Rant: Any party organizer in here? Biggest pet peeve as a foreigner who frequents the gay/queer/sex party scene in NYC: requiring a *passport* as an ID.

Take my province health card or a drivers licence. A passport is a valuable and large piece of identification. Either I check it (and take a chance trusting a total stranger) or i keep it with me, in which case, I need to carry a fanny pack and it gets mixed up with condoms, lube and god knows what. I may be drunk or high throughout the night and I'm carrying the most valuable piece of identification in a foreign country....... I am in so much trouble if I lose it or get it stolen.

I'm not trying to apply to an H1-B. I'm just trying to get railed in your dark room. My port of entry does not require a passport.
