Two souls in the same family that never really bond or feel like friends, definitely not soulmates. What kind of soul agreement could have been made?

General ✨

In journey of souls, I learned that some souls are just friends, not soul mates. So that it where that is coming from.

I’m very curious about this and it hits close to home. My brother and I have never been close. For many of our earlier years, I’d say until we were 16 and 17 I really tried to befriend him. We did spend a lot of time together when we were very young and played legos and video games. As we got older he just didn’t want anything to do with me. I thought maybe he would eventually soften to me and we could have a real genuine older brother younger sister relationship, especially now in our late 30’s. But it never happened. It’s as if he’s always been mad at me. Not a nice person to me, but is to others. Has never thought much of me or what I do. I’ve just never been good enough in his eyes. He has said as much in very different ways over the years.

I always thought older brothers were protectors and confidants to their younger sisters. This has never been true for me. He was my first bully. In our lives, the most words he says to me is when he’s being hateful. He’s never nice or says nice things. I know that this is not what my soul chose for this life, but I’m struggling to figure out what to learn from this. I feel if I can understand it, I could close the book on this and look at him with love and compassion for who he is and where he’s at, without resentment for how he has contributed to my family life. I want to forgive.

Any thoughts on the soul contract or advice for leading with love in the face of hate?
