Hands + sensory issues

Hello. My dermatologist wrote me a prescription for .05% fluocinonide and .1% tacrolimus, it's been helping a bit. The back of my hands are irritated from constant washing and the dry weather. Knuckles have fissures. She wants me to moisturize with aquaphor, vaseline or another occusive type of moisturizer during the day when I am out and to put on a mix of vaseline and either tacrolimus or fluocinonide at night and wear cotton gloves on my hands to keep the moisture in. The problem is that I hate feeling anything on my hands. Any tips?
