Being ignored by medical in a critical situation, just need to vent
As far as I can tell there's no solution so I'm not looking for one, I'm just frustrated and upset.
Almost a week ago I went to the ER because I was in excruciating pain and vomiting. I didn't go because of that though as I've learned not to, I went because of an allergic reaction to the antibiotics I was given because they thought it might be diverticulitis and didn't want to actually check with a catscan.
They did a catscan it didn't show it and I was getting worse so they did an MRI. somehow I fucking lucked out that my endometriosis showed up on this scan that nobody has done in the last several years of suffering
I have extensive endo and a lot of other shit going on, they were going to admit me for emergency surgery but gynecology said it was beyond their capabilities and I needed a specific different hospital. Not sure why but they discharged me rather than transferring me, saying they would do a referral. They did not. They wrote 6 norco to be taken 3 times a day for 5 days, still not sure how that works.
Saw my gp he prescribed t3 and 13 of them, as it's more effective for me. He wrote a referral I see gynecology on Mon to assess if surgery should be done or if they should leave it alone and put me in palliative care.
I'm so fucking sick today I've called after hours 4 times in 7 hours with no call back. I called my insurance nurse line they said I have to go to the ER and were stunned I've been left at home with excruciating pain but I don't understand. Doesn't that just happen to everyone?
But I can't go to the ER unless I talk to gynecology as my two choices are the hospital who won't do anything or the one with my new gynecologist but it's 30 miles away. I can't go without knowing they aren't going to ignore me.
I paged once more and asked what to do if they continue not to call back, I was told that at that point I have to hope I'm okay until Mon and call then.
🤷 I'm not okay now but I guess?
