wanted to make a post about best books/resources for building emotional awareness and intelligence....
Hi r/femdomcommunity! Hope this isn't too misplaced, but felt compelled to post, since I've seen some number of posts expressing dissatisfaction with some (.....let's be real-many) subs' lack of apparent emotional intelligence, and was wondering if people would be willing to share lists of books/films/videos/audio that helped them understand the wild and wonderful world of emotional phenomena and their expression in interpersonal relationships....(and hopefully, how to integrate them more skillfully).
For me, I've found some of the following helpful:
Books:
-Phenomenological Sketch of the Emotions (Jean-Paul Sartre)
-Thinking Emotions Inside Out: on Affective life beyond the Subject (Edward Casey)
-Moral Emotions: Reclaiming evidence of the Heart (A.Steinbock)
-Love as Critique and Participation (Also by A. Steinbock) -
-Upheavals of Thought- The Intellligence of Emotions (Martha Nussbaum)
-Governing Emotions - Husserl and Personal Vocation (Veniero Venier)
-Phenomenology of Love, Sex, and Intimacy (Susi Ferarrello)
