I hate all religions.

It’s not that I even really hate the teachings, what it represents, or even the people. I just hate how it makes people act and think. With me being an atheist I feel every moment you have alive is precious, and I feel that when people believe in a god they lose that train of thought. They lose that “drive” that keeps them doing what they love and pursuing better things. I’ve seen people give their lives to Christianity and they have nothing to show for it, sure they’re good people but they’re going to end up in a hole one day just like everyone including myself. No matter what your gender, sexuality, race, religion, etc is there is always one unifying factor between us all, we will all die. But I feel as if people who simply think that when they will die they will have greater things awaiting them live life as if that afterlife is guaranteed. But I also believe that some of the teachings are innately harmful to how people think, specifically the Bible how it fosters this “don’t question god or you will be punished” mentality, it leads people to never question themselves and their thoughts which is always harmful. I guess what I mean by all this is, the belief in god, Allah, Buddha, etc is harmful. If people were to break out of those beliefs they would be driven to things they want to do like seeing the world, pursuing a dream job, pursuing a dream physique, etc. But religion holds those feelings back and makes people complacent with their current situation because there will always be another day, and if there isn’t they’ll go to heaven anyway so what does it matter.
