Subversive Idea: Carol will be assimilated

I am sure one or more of our survivors will be assimilated into the Hive, but I had a thought that might be the most interesting outcome from this plot point

Carol is the one who gets assimilated

Not forever, but she might work with Manousos to figure out how to disconnect people from the Hive, and then abruptly be assimilated into it and it'll be up to him to undo it

Something really rubbed me the wrong way about the phrasing of "No stem cells will be collected from your body"
