How to make a fuzz pedal work with a zoom ms 50g

Recently got a ms 50g from my bandmate the other day and have really been enjoying using it on its own. Mostly been using it for an amp sim, eq, reverb and overdrive. Not sure why but whenever I use my fuzz pedal with it, it sounds really muddy and muted even though I have the tone and volume maxed out on the fuzz. I’ve also tried getting rid of the bass and mids, mixed different cabs and amps, boosted the treble and presence, but can’t seem to make it work with the fuzz. I don’t seem to have the same issue with my digitech rp55 which takes the fuzz well. Was wondering what to do with the zoom pedal and what might need adjusting.
