The champions league should reserve an extra spot for a premier league club.

The Premier League standard of football is far ahead of other competitions, and it is also the most competitive league. You can judge a league’s quality by looking at its midtable teams and their level of investment. For example, Bayern Munich dominates its domestic league, rarely losing, but when they face a strong opponent in the Champions League, they can struggle and even look like they are rusty. Some midtable Premier League teams could realistically challenge Bayern.

The top 8 Premier League teams would even have a shot at winning other leagues. Because of this, I think the Premier League deserves an extra Champions League spot or at least spots should be taken from smaller leagues like Norway, Czech Republic, or Slovakia, with those teams going through a playoff instead of automatic entry. This would make the competition tougher and more exciting.

The league table also needs changes, because there are too many pointless games where teams do not have anything meaningful to play for.
