How do you get confident lines when drawing?

I hope the title makes sense. Whenever I draw I always have tons of little lines and stuff and it looks scruffy, but I desperately want to draw like those people who confidently draw and it looks so smooth! Also, is it worth it to watch tons of videos on anatomy etc, I want to but I fear it might do nothing for me..
