Was this insensitive to say?

Something has pissed me off for awhile

When I was in my us history class in community college, my professor said something along the lines of how its not depressing or a big deal when you loose your grandparents

That made me angry...and that was a year before I lost my own grandmother

I lived with my grandmother for the majority of my life. She wasn't a women I saw a few times a year, she was someone who lived with us from the day I was born. She was like my second mother

When she passed in the beginning of 2024, it was devastating. It was like I lost a mother because I basically did. I would remember what my professor said and it would piss me off because of how Insensitive it was
