Bad Kidney pain

Hello everyone,

For the past week and a half, I've had such severe back pain in my right kidney area (radiating into my abdomen) that I can't sleep at all. I can't sleep on either my left or right side. About four or five times a day, I get such intense "kidney cramps" that I can only lie curled up on the floor. We went to the hospital this morning because I couldn't manage anymore. They only diagnosed grade 1 hydronephrosis. However, I find this hard to believe, as my pain is unbearable. Can grade 1 hydronephrosis really cause such severe pain? Should I go to another hospital?

Has anyone had a similar experience, and did it last until the end of your pregnancy?

I'm currently 25 weeks pregnant (first pregnancy).
