Should I Ask for Proper Stitches And Biopsies?

I have my laparoscopic surgery in 5 days, the countdown is on and I am preparing my questions for when I go in. So, as the title says, should I ask for proper stitches or go with the dissolvable ones? My concern is that with the wound healing process that if the dissolvable stitches dissolve too early and thus creates much more scar tissue while healing. I am wanting to hear you experience with stitches if you’re willing to share :)

Also, do I need to request for biopsies to be conducted or will the surgeon always do them if they see anything out of the ordinary?
