The Day I Almost Got Lured Into a Stranger’s Car
When I was around five or six years old, I used to walk to school(preschool) with my mom every day. The school was about a 20-minute walk from our house, she always took me there because I was still young.
One day, I told my mom that I already knew the route perfectly and asked if I could go by myself the next day. She agreed, but reminded me to be careful. My mom always gave me advice whenever I went outside, not just for this things ,like: “Don’t talk to strangers,” “Don’t go with anyone you don’t know,” and “If someone asks you something, just say you don’t know.”
The next day, I went to school by myself without any problems. But on the way back home, I passed by a stranger, he noticed me and said to the person next to him, “Look at that little boy walking alone.” Then he turned to me and asked, “Hey, where are you going by yourself? Are you lost?” After that, he told me to get in his car so he could take me home.
Right away, I remembered what my mom always told me about never going with strangers.then a said “No, I know my way,” and kept walking. Looking back, I was really lucky, because the spot where I met him wasn’t an empty area; it was actually in the center of our small city. There weren’t many people around at that moment, but it also wasn’t completely deserted. I think that helped keep me safe.
