No false modesty here: I am really chuffed with myself. There's a lot of room for improvement, but it turned out way better than I was expecting. Especially considering that in about 20 years the only model I've painted was one Airfix kit during one of the lockdowns. I'm especially happy about the writing on the purity seal and the white highlights on the armour.

There are a few bits that could do with touching up still (like the paint that's worn off around the barrel) and I'm waiting on some custom Chapter badge transfers to arrive before I varnish it. Also there's lots that I did on this model that I'm not gonna do for the next ones. Eg: although making coloured washes with watered down paint worked fine, trying it with black nearly ruined it. I'm just gonna buy a proper black wash. But, truth be told: I would be happy to field this unit as a fully-painted mini.

Colours used:

Anyhow, I hope you all like Rohb Evans, Heavy Gunner of the kill team The Scared Band of Thebes (from the custom Chapter called The Phalanx).

Constructive criticism welcome.

First mini painted in about 20 years.
