Chair fans: help me understand what’s on Blair’s mind when she’s dating Dan

What could she be possibly thinking ?🤔

I understand the intention of the show’s producers for this: stimulate more interest in the show, prolong the Chair story to make them end-game, etc.

What I don’t understand is that Blair literally said she loved Chuck “more and more every day, if it’s possible to love someone that much” in S.5, episode G.G. But right after that, she responded to Dan’s kiss and told Dan her heart belonged to him. She acted very happy with Dan for a while, even ignored Chuck when he came asking for her advices about reconnecting with his mother. However, in S5 finale, she said to Chuck: “I’m in love with you. I have tried to kill it, to run away from it, but I can’t and I don’t want to anymore”.

Was she still in love with Chuck while she was dating Dan? Was she confused because she lost her baby? Or is there any other explanation? Season 5 is very confusing to me. I often fast forward the Dair moments all together.
