There is absolutely no specific treatment or medication for urticaria, and there is little research on the subject. Urticaria sufferers experience itching 24 hours a day, every day(Just a little), without any apparent trigger; it simply appears suddenly, preventing them from leading normal lives and worsening before bedtime. The only treatment is the antihistamine, but at some point, But at some point, these medications stop working, requiring a monthly injection. I'm here, locking myself in a warm room because if I go out the itching gets worse.
Answer:
I'm sorry to hear you’re dealing with urticaria. It sounds incredibly frustrating to live with constant itching and limited treatment options.
It might not be the first thing people think about, but sometimes these symptoms have a psychosomatic aspect. The mind and body connection can be super powerful and, when under stress or dealing with emotional conflicts, the body might express it through skin issues like yours.
Think about any stressors in your life or past traumas that might not have been fully resolved. Sometimes these underlying emotional struggles can manifest physically.
Here are a few questions you might reflect on:
-
Has anything major changed in your life around the time your symptoms started?
-
Do you notice your symptoms worsening during specific emotional states?
-
Is there a past event that might still weigh on you mentally?
-
Are there patterns in your life where you feel out of control?
-
Do you often feel like your needs are going unnoticed or unmet?
I hope you find some relief soon. Let me know if you have more questions or just need someone to talk to!
