Feeling guilty after I made him(20M) unfollow a girl on instagram

I'm in a situationship with a guy(20M) and he used to talk to this girl (21F) almost daily for 4–5 months. They met online and he used to flirt with her sometimes. According to him, she was really kind and she was there for him at a time when he really needed someone to talk with.

But he misunderstood her attention as attraction. as he eventually realised she wasn't interested in him, he stopped initiating convos and since the last 5 months they haven't talked. He told me they didn’t end on bad terms that's why he still follows her. And tbh I had a LOT of problem with this. Acc to me, if you're done with someone, you shd cut off that person in every way u can or else it's disrespectful to ur current partner. So in the heat of the moment, i made him unfollow her yesterday night.

But now, I've been feeling guilty as hell. Tbh if he was my bf and we were committed, I don’t think I’d feel this conflicted. But since we’re just kind of fwbs, I can’t help feeling a bit guilty now… like maybe I overreacted.
