Down On The Upside is by far my favorite record ever. Let me tell you why
I am at the top of the hill for music and how it moves me. I’m 24 and athletic, multiple people have told me I look like Chris Cornell and I really do, the same face structure and hair. He was probably taller than me cuz I’m only 6 foot. I have drenched myself in music and through the day I mostly remain in it, outside of it I’m bored yet patient for a good thing to come out of it. When that BS is over and the music starts again, I’m back where I belong, where my spirit animal roams freely. I ascended to the coarse grounds of deeper Zeppelin, Tame Impala, grunge tracks, etc. That drove me to this point of Soundgarden. MF Soundgarden. I eventually ran around down on the upside, probably ignored it because its album cover didn’t seem to catch me. Then I fell into its fate. The ones who know it, know it. It’s the only time Chris actually sang like it was forever, the whole band played so extremely well I will put my foot down and say there is nothing else that reaches that level of perfection. If you have any hate for it, you haven’t listened to it much. I can sing along perfectly because I have trained my voice to, if you don’t believe me dm me and I’ll send you me covering a song of theirs. But take it from me, down on the upside is probably the only album outside of Tame Impala and Pond album’s that I’ll give a true 10/10. Maybe a 10/10 for Led Zeppelin’s In through the outdoor, yeah, that’s a ten.
