How do you manage breakdown spirals

I’ve not eaten flesh for 10 years, and I’m very much aware of the atrocities that occur. I do my bit, I help educate and encourage. I avoid docos that have explicit abuse because I know I cannot handle it.

Recently my feed is all vegan activism, and graphic push. (I’m all for flesh eaters to see it). But I’ve found myself watching them, and becoming hysterical to a point I end up in a full anxiety attack, because I can’t save them all, and cannot comprehend why people don’t acknowledge the cruelty. It takes days for me to ‘come right’ where I’m functioning and not crying myself to sleep every night about what is going on. I do have other neurological issues, which I feel contribute to this (exacerbates it) and I know I can switch off Instagram but lately the loops don’t leave my memory and I can just be sitting reading a reddit about mundane rubbish and it hits me.

My question is how do other vegans go about their days, with these imagines imprinted. How do you manage the disgust of people you care about eating and contributing towards the genocide.

I know as an individual I cannot stop the meat industry, I can only talk to people The pain I feel, is nothing what these animals feel, but it’s becoming a major setback in day to day life. Where can I channel this before I end up in a padded room?
