Has anybody ever cooked for people who you thought had a terrible palate and found out they just don't express their feelings or emotions well?
I just thought of this experience and wonder if anybody has had the same. There's a couple I've cooked for multiple times and their reaction always seemed underwhelmed. I don't know why but I decided to share a Jorge steak from flannery beef with them. It's my absolute favorite steak but their reaction was like I was serving them something from Applebee's. I completely stopped cooking for them. A couple years later I go to a party of theirs and everybody is calling me chef. Unbeknownst to me they rave about my food to other people, just not to my face while they're eating it.
P.S. I still don't cook for them
