Salary threshold change?

Hi everyone, any immigration lawyers or visa experts here that can advice?

I’m currently on a Skilled Worker visa and it expires in 2 months. My company is saying they can’t extend it with my current salary because the new threshold is now over £40k.

My first CoS was assigned before April 2024 under SOC code 2142. But now they are planning to change it to 3146, even though my role hasn’t changed. The job is also on the temporary shortage list.

Since my original CoS was issued before April 2024, shouldn’t I still be eligible for the lower salary threshold?
