Is this a celiac disease or ?
Hello fellow Celiacs, I decided to post this since I’m struggling with “gluten” and eating overall heavy foods for years. The doctors are not taking me seriously, so I hope someone here can answer me. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease, GERD & PCOS (insulin resistance type) and one of my endocrinologist suggested a gluten free diet because I always felt tired and kinda struggling with pooping and pain in my stomach. When I moved to another country I tried to get checked out for celiac disease, but my doctor only took blood test and they came negative( not sure If they did them right, since I don’t remember if I experimented with GF diet back in time so ofc the tests came negative). My doctor wasn’t concerned about it further, so I stopped asking to get more tests, because I felt like they thought I was acting as a lunatic trying to get diagnosed. After all of that, I finally started to take the matter into my own hands and started GF diet. Immediately after some time, I noticed I don’t get the heavy feeling in my stomach after eating something bready and there was almost no pain or a GERD attack. After maybe 1,5 month I didn’t struggle that much with pooping. I used go get some weird constipations, where I couldn’t empty myself fully without using an enema( I always felt something was stuck there) and the poops also never came fully solid. But with the GF diet, the poops solidified and I didn’t struggle that much. When it comes to gluten, I never had agonising pain or diarrhoea, like most of the celiacs? But I had my own GERD type of pains and diarrhoea would come only sometimes. I wanted to do the capsule endoscopy, but in most of the private clinics, it’s too much expensive, so I really don’t know what to do. I will continue being on GF diet, since it’s helping me, but the official diagnosis would help me with the fact that many people don’t take me seriously rn. and think I’m being crazy for not eating gluten. Soo could this things be a sign of that disease or some gluten sensitivity? Are most of you officially diagnosed or? And Thank you soo much for all that read my post ❤️
