Need guidance

General Discussion/Opinion

Hey everyone, I'm currently in my 3rd year of engineering and I'm planning to attempt SSC CGL next year. I’m honestly not sure if it’s the right decision, so I wanted some guidance from people who’ve been through this. I don’t really see myself writing code my whole life, and engineering has been feeling pretty exhausting lately. That’s one of the reasons I’m considering government jobs, and SSC seems like a good option to me. I think I’m fairly good at maths and aptitude (at least that’s what I feel), but I have zero idea about how things work in SSC prep the pattern, timeline, resources, or what level of competition to expect.

So my questions are: Is it a good decision to start preparing for SSC CGL in my 3rd year?

What things should I keep in mind before starting?

What resources or courses (free or paid) are actually worth it?

Any advice from people who cracked it or are currently preparing?
