For Those Who Still Believe in Love
“For Those Who Still Believe in Love”
They say love is disappearing.
They say it’s fading
like old ink on a forgotten letter,
like the last warmth of a dying sunset
that used to paint the sky
but no one pauses to look at anymore.
People don’t trust love now—
not the way they used to.
Not the way lovers once wrote poems
on the back of their breath
and waited days
just to hear a voice
they carried inside their heartbeat.
Now love feels like a gamble,
like something you enter with one foot in
and one foot already halfway out the door.
People hold hands
with their hearts hidden behind their ribs
as if affection is a secret
they are terrified to spill.
Everyone is afraid—
afraid of being hurt,
afraid of being abandoned,
afraid of being too much,
afraid of being not enough.
Afraid because love—
the real kind—
asks for trust,
and trust feels like a luxury
the world no longer wants to give.
But still…
in this fading world,
there are a few—
a rare few—
who carry love
like an eternal ember in their palms.
They are the ones
who do not fear the softness of giving.
They do not run from the vulnerability of feeling.
They love because it is in their nature—
not because it is safe,
not because it is easy,
but because love is the only language
their soul has ever spoken.
These people—
they don’t love halfway.
They love like rivers—
flowing, healing, relentless.
They love like prayers—
quiet, deep, unwavering.
They love like sunrise—
showing up again and again
even after the darkest night.
They trust,
not because the world is trustworthy
but because their heart is.
They remain loyal
in a time where loyalty is joked about,
where commitment is mocked,
where affection is called “simp,”
where honesty is seen as weakness,
where depth is called “too much.”
Yet still they love.
Still they choose.
Still they stand.
Still they believe.
For them, love is not disappearing—
it is transforming,
shifting shape,
learning new ways to survive
among people who do not understand it.
And maybe
that is what keeps love alive—
these few gentle hearts
who refuse to give up on it.
For every hundred
who fear love,
there is one
who carries it fiercely.
For every thousand
who distrust the emotion,
there is one
who rebuilds trust
with their bare, patient hands.
These people—
you see them rarely,
but you feel them immediately.
Their presence is calm,
their affection is honest,
their loyalty is warm,
their words hold weight.
They are not here to play.
They are not here to pretend.
They love to love—
and they keep the world soft
for the rest of us.
So even if love seems to be disappearing,
it isn’t gone.
It’s simply hiding
in the hearts of the rare ones
who still believe
that loving is not foolish—
it’s courageous.
And if you ever find such a heart,
or if you are such a heart yourself—
then love isn’t disappearing.
Love is safe.
Love is alive.
Love is held.
Love is breathing through you.
