📚 Looking for a book — Young Adult Fiction
I read this book a while ago (probably YA or NA romance, possibly self-published or from Wattpad) and cannot remember the title.
Here’s what I remember: • The girl lives alone, possibly in a trailer. • She has a big box of different ChapStick/lip balm flavors and wears a different one every day. • The boy really likes her — his favorite flavor is grape or strawberry. • The boy gets into an accident before they ever really hang out and he loses his voice. He can’t talk after the accident. • They start spending time together after this, and they grow close even though he can’t speak. • There’s a memorable scene: she’s in the shower, he comes over, and she says, “Hey, is that you?” Then she remembers he can’t talk and laughs, saying something like, “Of course it’s you.” • Later, she really wants to hear him say “I love you.” He shows her a video of himself saying it, recorded the night he lost his voice.
Does anyone know what this book is called? I’ve been trying so hard to find it again!
