Best bar hopping area for New Years Eve in Seoul?

My boyfriend and I will be in Seoul for New Years Eve. We’re in our late 30s.

We don’t want to have to pay a lot of money to go to a party and are instead looking for an area to bop around to different bars.

It’ll also be very cold so we want to be in an area where getting to the next bar is very close and easy. We don’t want to have to walk or taxi to the next bar.

We heard Hongdae, Itaewon, Euljiro, Gangnam are our best bet. Hongdae might skew younger? Itaewon and Euljiro have a street of all bars? Gangnam has fewer bars as many have closed and they’re farther apart from each other?
