Award available, then not

I was hoping to stay at The Cape over Christmas 2026. Checked 4 night availability multiple times over the past 10 days, including standard suites for SUA, all good. I was waiting for some CC nights to hit to make Globalist and add SUAs. Between yesterday when I last checked and this morning, when the SUAs hit, a 5 night minimum stay was imposed and standard suite availability was borked.

I should have chosen SUAs as my 50 night award rather than waiting until January, and gone ahead and booked the award I wanted when I could. Live and learn.
