Cosmopolitan, I hope you like the biggest city in the world that I wrote about. I am open to your ideas.
One of the 13 major cities in the worldbuilding I wrote about, its importance stems from its size and the apparent rivalry between the four factions. The city is located at the center of the world I'm writing about, with a population in the billions and settlements roughly the size of the Australian continent. The city has a ring-shaped appearance. At the center of this ring is a massive pit, a pit with almost no bottom. People in this world believe they were created in that pit. This is why they want to stay close to it.
One of the main reasons for the development and ring-shaped structure of the cosmopolitan city is that those who settled in this city built their homes as close to the pit as possible to be closer to their creators. Over generations, these homes have evolved into a ring. Due to the enormous population within the cosmopolitan city, it is not managed as a single city but rather as a group of sectors, with certain sectors concentrated in specific areas.
The southern sectors produce technology and exotic foods. The Freedom faction, generally one of the four factions, is dominant in the south. Ports are located in the western sector, providing access to fish and other commercial goods needed by the city. Freedom is influential in the west because freedom controls trade, and freedom has also established western colonies in the past.
The north focuses on farmers and agricultural industry, and a portion of the food needed by the Cosmopolitan is met here. A group that advocates for egalitarian brotherhood and the idea that all should be brothers is prominent in this region.
The east is covered with industrial zones. A large portion of the heavy and light industrial products needed by the Cosmopolitan are met from the Cosmopolitan. Freedom was previously strong in this region, but there is a prevailing reality and uncertainty that the Brotherhood has increased its influence in the region by leveraging unions and labor power.
Furthermore, within the Cosmopolitan, there are military armies and garrisons loyal to the nation in the outer rings. In the inner regions, there are judges, courthouses, and administrators loyal to the Justice Department.
The city is dispersed among four factions. And the city is still sacred to those living in this world. For most people, the saying goes, "He who controls the cosmopolitan, controls the world."
On the other hand, cosmopolitan is largely dependent on foreign sources to meet the needs of its massive population, including agriculture and fishing from the west and north, and without raw materials and industry from the east, it would be very difficult for the city to survive.
Cosmopolitan is the birthplace of humanity, a place where everyone wants to go and live. Everyone in this world wants to see it at least once before they die. Cosmopolitan is a kind of pilgrimage, and it also has a sacred meaning. Cosmopolitan itself is the place that has started and ended world wars.
