would i be the asshole if i asked my boyfriend to stay home instead of drinking with work friends?

so my (19F) boyfriend (22M) has been invited out with his friends from work to go out drinking, i work full time and he works two days a week so we rarely get to see eachother. This staff night out has been planned on the one day of the week i would get to see my boyfriend, so i was already a bit upset about it. i really dont want him to go but i feel wrong for feeling this way.

the last time he went out with his work friends he lied to me about when hed be home and just didnt go home at all, showed up at my house at like 8am. he also texted his ex girlfriend that night. i want him to be happy and have friends but i do not like the people he works with, i used to work with them and they treated me HORRIBLY, and he has a weirdly close friendship with this one girl that will be on this night out.

i want to ask him to stay and come see me instead of going out for so many reasons but i feel like id just be a horrible controlling girlfriend if i asked him to stay. but theres so many reasons it scares me that hed be going out. would i be an asshole if i asked him to stay? or is there a way i can communicate this with him without feeling like a bad person?
