Q Series revision coming soon for 2026?
Just some news here since I haven't seen anyone mention this on the internet yet. Looking at the parts catalogue, their whole Q series line apart from their Q52FMG models has been listed as discontinued since the Sep/Oct (depending on the model) of this year.
Example 1 - Q52PB-COL
Example 2 - Q54W-CMM
The last time this happened in 2023, they transitioned from EVO Gold frets to stainless steel after a 2 month period due to Jescar discontinuing EVO Gold, going from 1P01 to 1P02. If we're going to go with that precedent, it's possible we'll go to 1P03 and see a refresh of almost the entire line in 2026 with 1 or more specs changed.
What makes this slightly perplexing, is that the Q52FMG models I mentioned earlier aren't being discontinued despite sharing many similarities with the current line. The differences I can see are ash bodies, flamed maple veneers, and gold hardware. Whether these are simpler to source than nyatoh, poplar burl, or cosmo black hardware I don't know, but it's interesting to see that those models remain active, while the rest of the line is cycled out.
Ofcourse, nothing's confirmed until we see what will happen in the coming months at NAMM or what's listed in their new 2026 catalogue, but given the previous pattern, I wouldn't be surprised of at least something happening to the Q line coming soon.
