how is the job market for biotechnology

hello everyone i am currently pursuing an engineering degree in statistics and data science , this semeter i chose biostat as a specialization and i will be doing an M2 in bioinformatics at the same time ,i just felt like the data science and IT field was very crowded and to be honest never really liked dealing with business stuff or dashboards anyway , and since biology and especially genomics is something that i find fascinating and it seems like they do use ML and DL anyway in computational biology i felt like this field might be a good option , but i have no idea whatsoever about the job market wether it is in demand wether i would be able to switch to health data science if i dont like the field , i heard also that a phd is important and it is something that i am concidering . Also i would appreciate if someone has an idea of the salaries
