Aquasana shower filter

I installed an Aquasana “water sense” shower filter 6 months ago. I chose 1.75 GPM over the 2.5 GPM option. I am having plumbing issues now, and am waiting for a plumber to give me an assessment. Could the lower GPM on the filter put pressure on pipes?
