I'm very new to shrimp care and have had these guys since October with no problems. Today I noticed there were multiple above the water level, even one sitting against the bare glass at some point.

This isn't a great video to display their worst behaviors, but I'm trying to seek advice as soon as possible. You can see the others act somewhat normally in the background..

I'm going to list some possible problems + facts in hope for assistance/how to go about it!

• This is a 3 gallon tank, one of them is pregnant!
• I use test strips. Although, they don't test for Ammonia or Chlorine.
• My routine: Top off the water with 2 cups + 4 drops of Tetra Aquasafe (my tap water has chlorine.) Up until now, I've been adding one cap of Imagitarium Essential Minerals every two weeks or so. More on that below! :(

Possible concern 1: Hard Water
Explanation: I've been using Imagitarium Essential Minerals assuming the dosage was half a cap per gallon. I believe I misread. Now I worry an overdose has made the water *too* hard for them. A test strip shows that my water is in fact, hard. Although I remember reading that neocardina shrimp are very tolerant to hard water, so I wonder if that could really be the case.
Plan: I'm adding a leaf tonight to release tannins. Planning to do a 10-20% water change everyday throughout the week– but it is worrisome because they're not used to this.

(Should there be a future for these guys, I will dose according to my inference and Google ai, which is 30 drops a week.)

Possible Concern 2: Chlorine
Explanation: My local tap water has chlorine. When it comes to topping off the water, I use Tetra Aquasafe. Maybe I didn't use enough. I can't tell if their gills are irritated because they are blue, but they are definitely trying to get air. I'd also say they're more active than normal– swimming, not grazing.
Plan: Wait to see how and if their symptoms are getting worse. If so, proceed with the 10% water change plan but add an extra drop of Tetra per 2 cups??

Possible Concern 3: Ammonia
Explanation: I don't believe there is a crazy spike of ammonia, however, there were a few dead leaves from their plants. I've taken them all out!
Plan: Make sure to remove all dead plants; proceed with water change.
