Neighborhoods in Siracusa

Ciao, I am hoping to find recommendations about which neighborhood would be best to stay in Siracusa this week. I don’t mind walking to get to the popular spots, but I want to stay somewhere where there is local life—bars, aperitivo, passeggiata. I don’t want to be in Ortiga or other tourists areas. Grazie
