Question: Do you think I should shake hands in this situation?

I've been working on mastering my Body Language. I go to church every Sunday. There are always people at the front doors who open them for everyone who walks through them. Is it right to shake their hand every time, give them a pat on the shoulder, or just give them a head nod and a thank you?
