Annual leave/pay issues?

Context: I’m a 3rd year apprentice light vehicle mechanic

My boss takes any time I take off from work and cuts it out of my weekly annual leave accrued hours and cuts my pay as well.

A normal week is 38 total hours worked with $20.37/hour with 2.92 hours off accrued annual leave (692.06 total pay and 2.92 hours of annual leave)

A week if I take one full day off is 30.4 total hours worked with $20.37/hour with 2.34 hours off accrued annual leave (566.25 total pay and 2.34 hours of annual leave)

My main question is, is it wrong what he’s doing here? Should I be losing the time off my total annual leave and getting paid instead of not accruing hours and not getting paid?

If this isn’t the right place to post or I’m just having a brain fart and not seeing that I’m clearly wrong I’ll be very appreciative if someone told me
