Fnaf 2 Movie Minor Plot hole?

We know that the marionette controls the toy animatronics however at the climax of the movie it seems as though Micheal can control them. Which is strange considering when he lured the ghost hunters in the first half of the film he ran away as if he no control over the toys. Can someone help me understand?
