Just stop with the 'Islam says'!

Look. Islam doesn't say anything.

I'm fed up of this lazy expression which is usually followed up by some link to some Selafi website.

Instead, try to do some proper research and say:

1. According to some Sunni/ Shia scholars

2. According to some Muslim websites

3. According to classical fiqh

If you are citing hadith, ensure you state how this hadith was understood.

Otherwise, we are guilty of doing exactly what those we criticise are guilty of: cherry picking evidence to construct an argument.
