Missing parcel

please help, i got a boots parcel online during black friday and it says that it got delivered last wednesday, but i dont recognise the signature and where the proof of delivery was at all.. i contacted boots and they said they have already opened a case with royal mail, that would take 21 working days for them to get back to me after tracking it..

has this ever happened to anyone else and what should i do?
