TIL in 1969 a USAF mechanic Paul Meyer stole a C-130 from RAF Mildenhall in England using an alias Captain Epstein. He flew it for nearly two hours before crashing into the sea. Meyer was homesick and suffering from Vietnam flashbacks. He requested a transfer before the incident, but was denied.
