Eyes of jade

A step into the abyss,

the world of unknown mysteries

enclosed in darkened shadows

and apocalyptic recipes

The steps taken are songs yet to be sung

written by the man with velvet claws

With eyes of jade, a glare that stung

and a tongue that execrates ghastly flaws

Tethered to my destiny

a tie that is bound by iron fate

To hold the solemn gravity

and neglect the barren debate

With the cloak of fading assurance

that surrenders to the deepened shadow well

but fights an undying resistance

where ashen radiation breathes from the abyssal hush
