Do I need surgery for my clavicle fracture ?

These are my last x-rays about 5 1/2 weeks post-fracture. 36F, I fell on my shoulder during football and broke my clavicle in two pieces.

My very first X-ray 7 weeks ago showed a tiny displacement. But later on, the displacement has become significant and it still doesn’t show any consolidation. It hasn’t worsened or got better, the displacement is just sitting there with no signs of bone healing.

The last few weeks have been rough since the surgeon wants me to wear my sling day and night.

Does it make sense to ask for a surgery after 7-8 weeks? Is it really worth it? My surgeon doesn’t want to go for this solution for now and doesn’t seem to take me seriously when it comes to my mental health.
