Pod Express Red + 5150iii 212 combo

I have tried a few ways to use them together but Damn.
I can’t get a decent sound to save my soul. Does anyone have any advice? I have my Headrush Core tied up with another project so I’d like to use the Pod Express. Maybe I’ll just have to put the Core in the mix and sell the Pod.
