Questions about the Ring and Neck Events and Gear

So I find pretty hard to press on the Pirate (neck) event compared to the Zeus (ring) event.

Anyone got any tips? Also how many levels apart should they be? I am at 43 ZEUS and 34 PIRATE so I guess 10 levels apart? And which slot is it more worth ? Rings or Necks? And which ones are Best for solo / mythic / utli gear?
