Can anyone confirm if material sharing has been added for split screen co-op?

Hey everyone!

Me and my wife are huge fans of Brotato and got the demo of this game a few months ago to try out, however at that point there was no option to turn on material sharing for the co-op (where the material pciked up is evenly split by both players no matter who is the one to actually pick it up - like it is automatically set in Brotato). This is something that bugged us quite a bit and we decided to postpone purchasing until that was fixed, as its something we are both quite used to and made it hard for us to enjoy.

Could anyone confirm if that by any chance has been added as a possibility?
