Did I misread the vibe? Thought we clicked at the gym but she hasn’t replied to my DM.*

Hey guys, looking for some perspective on a situation that’s been stuck in my head.

I met a girl at my gym recently — she’s Pakistani like me, does accounting, single, and honestly exactly my type. We ended up talking for around 20 minutes, which almost never happens for me at the gym. The conversation flowed easily: work, family, culture, siblings, jokes — the whole thing felt very natural.

Her body language seemed really open. She kept eye contact the whole time, was smiling, standing angled toward me, and didn’t seem in any rush to get back to her workout. If anything, she kept adding to the conversation instead of trying to wrap it up. We even joked about family marriage stuff, which is usually a sign of comfort in our culture.

At the end, we exchanged names, shook hands, and I asked for her Instagram. She said “sure” immediately and gave it to me — no hesitation.

So later I sent a simple message, just something like “hey, really liked talking with you today.” She hasn’t replied… but she has been consistently viewing my stories. A few times, actually.

Now I’m wondering:

• Did I misread the vibe?
• Is she just not into messaging?
• Is this normal early behavior and I’m overthinking it?

Everything in person felt great — smooth conversation, lots in common, same culture, same energy. But her not replying (while still watching my stories) is throwing me off.

Guys who’ve been through something similar — what do you make of this? Should I just chill and wait? Talk to her again if I see her at the gym? Or take this as a soft pass?
